DO exfoliate before so the waxing strips don’t have to cut through dead skin cells and oils and will nab hair more quickly.
DO get our ingrown hair serum and exfoliating scrub if you are prone to get ingrowns.
DO wear breathable clothing such as cotton and loose fitting clothes.
Waxing Aftercare Advice
Repeat your professional waxing every 4 to 6 weeks. You may notice a small amount of re-growth after a week or so. It can take up to four treatments for your hair to get on a growth cycle that gives best results. By waxing frequently, hair grows back softer, sparse and eases out with less pain.
DON’T get waxed on the day of a special event. Your skin may be red and sensitive for a day or two.
DON’T use perfume, scented body lotions, anti-perspirants, cosmetics, or feminine hygiene sprays. as they may lead to ingrown hair.
DON’T drink caffeinated beverages and even alcohol for a few hours before you wax as it can make your skin sensitive.
DON’T wait until your hairs are too long to wax. This can make the process a lot longer and more uncomfortable.
DON’T apply ice to the area before waxing, this will only tighten your pores, making your hairs harder to remove.
DON’T wear tight clothes or work out for a period of 24 hours after waxing.
DON’T expose newly waxed areas to the heat for 12 to 24 hours. This includes hot baths, sauna, and steam.
DON’T exfoliate the skin within 24 hours of waxing.
WAX ON. WAX OFF.
